What is a good recipe for a healthy sandwich ?

I prefer any kind of vegetable, fish or chicken sandwiches, but not beef, pork, and cheese. What is a good recipe for a healthy sandwich ?
I'd say : lettuce, tomato, cucumber, fish or (chicken if preferred), and carrots with whole wheat buns. :D You can choose from either but those are healthy choices you can choose from. :)What is a good recipe for a healthy sandwich ?
I know a lot of people are very health conscious today. There are many substitutes for mayo or cheese. For example avocados are very creamy and can substitute for the creamy texture of mayo. You can even mash it up and add a little seasoning of choice to it. Another good ingredients is balsamic or vinegar like redwine or white wine or even rice wine. You can season up some tuna with it with a little extra virgin olive oil and some sea salt instead of regular old table salt. Processed foods is the killer today. Your body was never built to reprocess food so it just spits it out and you get no nutrients from it. Try to find a bakery who makes whole wheat bread fresh and make it a habbit to eat this way. Farmers market have a lot of affordable fresh fruits and veg. You can always make your own chicken and cut it up and mix it with some curry and apples and some celery onions and currants and make a chicken curry sandwich with a little yogurt and lemon juice. You can mix vinegar and a little sugar into your tuna maybe with a little tamari. Serve it with avos and tomatoe and sprouts. You can make a grilled veggie sandwich with some ground turky and mustard. The sky is the limit with what you can do. Maybe add a little horseradish for a kick. Now days most natural food stores carry organic turkey meat, and tofu cheese, but remember fresh is always better. You can also slice your chicken up or turkey and freeze it. You can flavor your chicken with spices and herbs before cooking and have a flavored chicken to eat. Good luck with your ventures and have some fun with your food. Tahini is also very delicious with some tofu cheddar flavored cheese and sprouts. Try a mushroom burger with carmelized onions and a sundried tomato pesto. Maybe a salmon one with a little lemon or lime oil?

Toast your bread every now and then or make a open face hot sandwich.

Yogurt is the way to go, because you can add anything to it. You can even maybe do a pita or whole wheat wrap. Don't limit yourself to what you can do with food.
Use whole Grain bread.Toasted. Take red pepper slices from a jar an put on baking pan. Cut into slices, one eggplant %26amp; one zuccinian put on the oven pan take a slice of portobello mushroom an place on oven pan, an broil on high till to you desire about three to five minutes. Take a clove of raw garlic an slice it in half. Take one half an rub on the side of the bread an do the same with the other side. Take veggies out of oven put on bread . Take toothpick an place in sandwich enjoy.
what i really enjoy is a veggie sandwich. Get whatever kind of bread/bagel/croissant you like and add about a tablespoon of cream cheese ( i use garden veggie light) and i add lettuce, cucumber, tomato and a tad of mayo... for a bit more flavour add a bit of dill... so yummy...mmmmm
Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce sandwich (all organic, and free range). Its all a matter of opinion, but I think they are extremely nice, especially server slightly warm.

Or you could always go for lamb, or minted lamb sandwiches (organic and slightly warm).
